Judging Stages
For all categories, rankings will be determined at the final round, held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Minato Mirai Hall. Only participants who pass the preliminary online screening will proceed to the final.

Eligibility
1.Participants must hold nationality in Asian countries/regions, based on the UN's regional classifications.
- Includes all countries/regions in Central Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia.
- Russia is excluded according to the UN's regional classifications.
2.Participation in all divisions is for solo piano performances.
3.Participants must meet the birth date requirements listed under the "Categories."
4.Each participant may only apply to the same category once.

Repertoire
1 Free-choice pieces for both preliminary and final rounds.
2 Perform from memory.
3 Exclusions:
・Unpublished works (e.g., original compositions).
・ Non-classical works.
・ Pieces requiring techniques outside of the keyboard (e.g., inside the piano).
4 Repeats are generally omitted, but performers may include necessary ones; D.C. and D.S. must follow the score.
5 The same piece from the preliminaries may be performed in the finals.
6 Time limits apply for each category, and multiple pieces are allowed if they fit within the given time.

Awards
Preliminary online screening
Participants recommended by the judges to advance to the finals will receive the "Preliminary Excellence Award" or the "Preliminary Merit Award."
Score sheets will be provided to all participants.
Excellence Award | Given to those with outstanding performances in the preliminary round and recommended for the finals. |
Merit Award | Given to those with commendable performances close to the Excellence Award level and recommended for the finals. |
Encouragement Award | Given to participants with notable performances. |
Final Round
In all categories, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, as well as Encouragement Award recipients, will be selected. Judges may declare ties or leave positions unfilled. Winners of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will receive certificates and medals, while Encouragement Award winners will receive certificates. Additionally, top performers in each division will be invited to a Winners' Recital.
Other Important Notes
On Performance Repertoire and Time Limits
・Playing a piece different from the one submitted in advance may result in disqualification or a penalty.
・The time limit for the online preliminaries is based on the length of the video. For details on video submission, please refer to the instructions.
・The final round time limit includes time for setup (footstool, etc.).
・If the performance exceeds the time limit, a bell will ring, and the performance must stop. This will not affect scoring.
Footstool Information
・A footstool with pedals will be available at the venue. You may also bring your own. No assist pedals or stools without pedals are provided.
・Participants or accompanying guardians/teachers are responsible for setting up and removing the footstool or assist pedals.
Regarding the Final Round
・Travel expenses to the venue are the participant’s responsibility.
・Late arrivals will be disqualified, regardless of the reason. Exceptions may be considered for unavoidable circumstances such as natural disasters or public transportation disruptions. However, if participants fail to check in during their category's registration window, they will not be judged.
・If the final round is deemed difficult to hold due to insufficient participants or unavoidable circumstances like natural disasters, the final round participation fee will be refunded. If the final round is postponed for any reason, participants who decide to withdraw from the rescheduled event will also have their participation fee refunded. However, please note that expenses other than the final round participation fee will not be reimbursed.
Others
・Regarding the preliminary and final rounds, except for the exceptions mentioned above, please note that participation fees will not be refunded once your application has been submitted.
